| Liverpool kept alive hopes of a second place finish with an easy win over Newcastle at St.James Park on Sunday. From the first minute the Reds controlled this one and it was no suprise when rejuvinated front man Peter Crouch snuck between two defenders to head home the opener. Steven Gerrard added another mid-way through the first half. Cisse crossed from the left and after a nice one two with Crouch the Liverpool captain fired home a beautiful drive into the right hand corner of Shay Givens goal. It looked like Newcastle could fight their way back after Shoela Ameobi put away a free header to make the score 2-1, but order was restored in the second half when Cisse put the game to bed from the penalty spot. Now its the F.A. Cup, lets hope the players can recover in time and we can get our hands on some silverware come May |

Masters Golf Tickets : Football, the most popular sport in the world, has changed a lot over the past few decades. From the earlier years of merely a sport it has progressed into a multimillion dollar business enterprise. This has resulted in players getting contracts worth millions of dollars and since this is the situation, they are required to win each and every game. As a result the game has lost its beauty, I think. It seems Liverpool, the most successful club in the history of English football, had to toil hard to register this win. This really is good news for ardent Liverpool fans. This is a matter of fact blog which gives only the essential details of the match.
